GO and TELL

 

Gonna end this work week with a word for the Front Porch:

EVANGELIZE…

we as church folk  know what this word means.  If your church is ‘full gospel,’ believe in reading the Word for yourself and take God’s Word as Truth…then you know what this word means…it should be Lifestyle Living….

IF you would be a newcomer to the Front Porch, and just happened to not be sure what

EVANGELIZE

means… well here is the short version:

Simply means ‘GO AND TELL’!

“Tell”,

What you ask?

That Jesus Christ, sent from the Father above,

Came and lived a sinless life, died on the cross for us,

after 3 days returned to His Father’s right hand.

That all this was done because God loves us so…

 

Oh, it is so much deeper and wider that this little

summarization (hmmm… a word coming soon!).

Millions, trillions of words written and spoken.

Countless books, hours spent on movies, programs, presentations, plays…

about the greatest event that can happen in our lives.

EVANGELIZE

We talked about our ‘stories’ yesterday…

today it is all about History…

HIS STORY!

EVANGELIZE

 whenever,

 however,

 wherever you can. 

That is what Lifestyle Living is really about:

living your life in such a way that you ‘live, move and have your very being in Him’.

Him,

being Jesus Christ our Lord.

There is salvation

In

No other

Name,

Or way.

JESUS…that’s it!

 

EVANGELIZE…

walk the talk...

as stated earlier far too many folk just talk, talk, talk…

(from the pulpit to the poor house)

but the test is the walk…

wherever you go,

Jesus right there with the Holy Spirit abiding and leading and guiding.

 A few years ago there was a slogan and we saw a great deal of necklaces, bracelets, hats, posters, bumper stickers with WWJD on them...this was either a true evangelistic endeavor or one of the cleverest marking tools-ever.  It became a by-word, household word, WWJD was everywhere… and perhaps this helped people stop what they were doing and ask ‘what would Jesus do’?  Hmmm…but what happened to this trend? 

Jesus went and told…

likewise, we should do the same.

We are not standing on the street corner,

holding up signs that telling people the world is ending…although the time might come for that.

No, we tell with our actions and words…

or are we closet Christians?…

that come out only on Sunday, hang with our church buddies

then on Monday, put the religion and serving God back into the closet until next week.

EVANGELIZE:

stand up for Him, in the workplace,

at school,

in the home,

in your neighborhood.

Speak up for HIM…

wrong is wrong,

let people you come in contact with know what God has said in His Word.

But more importantly tell, and make sure you walk that way yourself.

As I indicated in an earlier post,

 people are watching;

co-workers,

 neighbors and

family members

 are watching...

God is watching.

EVANGELIZE:

use every tool you can…

the spoken,

one-on-one witness is great…

may be one of the best tools still.

Speaking before groups,

gatherings such as in church is a way to

 EVANGELIZE.

The Word has had millions/trillions of ‘words’ written about it.

So, writing is one way to

EVANGELIZE.

MEDIA is another way to

EVANGELIZE:

radio, TV, newspaper, FACEBOOK, blogs...

GO and Tell…

anyway, however you can.

EVANGELIZE:
